Our Story
About Risen Word
A family poetry project turned community, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ one poem at a time.
Risen Word is a poetry collection that celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We publish original Christian poems that honor the Savior, reflect on His Atonement, and invite readers to step into the light of Easter morning. Our mission is to offer artful words that inspire faith, hope, and gratitude. Words should linger in the heart and point us back to Him.
Our Mission
The collection began as a simple family project: writing poems to remember the meaning of Easter. Over time, friends and loved ones joined in, and Risen Word grew into a shared space for devotional poetry. Each poem is a personal expression of belief and experience, with some quiet and contemplative, some bold and triumphant, and some humorous.
How It Started
Each year we host an Easter Poetry Contest to encourage writers of all ages. The contest celebrates artistic merit, spiritual depth, and the ability to communicate the Easter message in fresh, memorable ways. Whether you write short-form poems, narrative verse, or lyrical reflections, we invite you to share your voice.
The Easter Poetry Contest
Risen Word is for anyone seeking Christ-centered poetry: readers, writers, families, and faith communities. We hope these poems bless you, strengthen your testimony, and deepen your appreciation for the risen Lord.
